摘要
In ecological communities, certain species are known to exhibit aggregate distributions. However, this does not necessarily mean the community as a whole follows the same pattern. This talk clearly defines community-level distributional aggregation, characterized by an interspersed or cluster-like arrangement of different species. By applying the conspecific-encounter index derived from the Markov non-independent sampling model, we explore the spatial patterns of species distributions. Our analysis reveals that tree assemblages in tropical forest ecosystems display significant interspersion, indicating a complex and extensive distributional pattern. In contrast, amphibian assemblages exhibit consistently high conspecific-encounter indices, suggesting a strong tendency toward spatial aggregation within these communities.
